Andromache
Andromache, in Greek mythology, wife of Hector, prince and hero of Troy. After the fall of Troy, Achilles' son Neoptolemus took her as a slave to Epirus and later married her. After he divorced her, she became the wife of Hector's brother Helenus. Her farewell to Hector and mourning of his death are among the most celebrated passages in Homer's Iliad. Euripides also based a tragedy on her story.
