Walter Annenberg

Annenberg, Walter (1908–), U.S. publisher. He inherited a Philadelphia-based publishing empire that included the Philadelphia Inquirer, founded Seventeen magazine and TV Guide, and bought the Philadelphia Daily News. He was appointed ambassador to Great Britain by President Richard Nixon (1969).
