Army War College



Army War College, senior educational institution of the U.S. Army, founded 1901 in Washington, D.C., by Elihu Root, then secretary of War. Its curriculum is designed to prepare students, usually high-ranking officers, to deal with security issues, military strategy, war operations, and Army doctrine.
