Aster

Aster (genus Aster), also known as Michaelmas or Christmas daisy, perennial plant with blue, purple, white, or red flowers that bloom in autumn. The China aster (Callistephus chinensis), in the same family, produces bigger, almost chrysanthemum-like flowers in bright colors.
