Atlantic States

Atlantic States, those states of the U.S. south of New England bordering on the Atlantic Ocean or closely relying on it economically. New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania are Middle Atlantic states. Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, are South Atlantic states, West Virginia occasionally considered to be part of this group as well.
