Elie Nadelman



Nadelman, Elie (1882–1946), Polish-born U.S. sculptor. He interpreted the human form through the eyes of 18th-century folk artists and doll makers, but was also influenced by “classic” sculptors such as Auguste Rodin. Among his more amusing sculptures is Man in the Open Air (c.1915).
