National Museum of American Art, collection of more than 32,000 art works by U.S. artists from the mid-18th century to the present, part of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Edward Hopper, Mary Cassatt, and Man Ray are among the numerous artists represented by paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and crafts.
