Stanley Baldwin



Baldwin, Stanley (1867–1947), British Conservative politician, 3 times prime minister (1923–24, 1924–29, 1935–37). He led the breaking of the General Strike of 1926 and was criticized for underestimating the dangers of the rise of fascism in Europe.
