Neuritis

Neuritis, inflammation of a peripheral nerve. More generally, any disorder of the peripheral nervous system that interferes with sensation, muscle control, or both may be considered neuritis. Symptoms include numbness, tingling, weakness, and in extreme cases, paralysis. Neuritis often occurs in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and various genetic disorders.
