Sir Harold Nicolson

Nicolson, Sir Harold (1886–1968), British writer and diplomat, born in Iran. After diplomatic service (1909–29), he was a member of Parliament (1935–45). He published many reviews and biographies of Verlaine, Byron, Tennyson, Swinburne, and King George V.
