Nils Adolf Erik Nordenskjöld
Nordenskjöld, Nils Adolf Erik (1832–1901), Finnish-born Swedish geologist, cartographer, and explorer of Spitsbergen and of Greenland, where he studied inland ice. He was the first to navigate the Northeast Passage (1878–79).
