Nostradamus
Nostradamus (Michel de Nostredame; 1503–66), French astrologer, famed for his prophecies published in verse, Centuries (1555). He was court physician to Charles IX, and his prediction of Henry II's death 4 years ahead made his name, though his prophecies were generally vague.
