Orizaba

Orizaba (pop. 118,400), Mexican resort city located in a scenic valley between Veracruz and Mexico City. Settled by the Spanish in the 1500s to protect essential travel routes between the 2 cities, it was incorporated in 1774 and developed into an agricultural and industrial site. In 1973, an earthquake devastated the area.
