Osage

Osage, Native American tribe of the Siouan language group who lived in what is now western Missouri and Arkansas in the late 17th century. In 1872 they were moved to a reservation in Oklahoma. They became one of the richest communities in the world when oil was discovered on their reservation two decades later.
