Oshawa

Oshawa (pop. 123,700), automobile-manufacturing city in Ontario, Canada, located east of Toronto on Lake Ontario. General Motors of Canada was established here in 1918 when the McLaughlin Motor Company (1907) and the Chevrolet Motor Car Company of Canada merged. Today, General Motors and automobile parts manufacturers are the predominant employers.
