Niccolò Paganini
Paganini, Niccolò (1782–1840), Italian virtuoso violinist. By his use of adventurous techniques, such as diverse tuning of strings and the exploitation of harmonics, he extended the range of the instrument. His best-known compositions are his 24 Caprices.
