Alton Brooks Parker

Parker, Alton Brooks (1852–1926), U.S. jurist and Democratic presidential candidate. He was chief justice of the New York court of appeals (1898–1904), and, after losing the presidential election to Theodore Roosevelt in 1904, returned to private practice.
