Passion play

Passion play, dramatic presentation of Jesus's suffering, death, and resurrection. It was one of the popular medieval mystery plays that were performed by amateurs at religious festivals. The most famous passion play still performed is that at Oberammergau, Germany, staged every ten years since 1633.
