Peach moth

Peach moth (Grapholitha molesta), small brown moth whose larvae are major fruit tree pests. Each year the adult deposits eggs on the leaves of peach and other fruit trees. The larvae feed on new twigs and on fruit. Growers attempt to control the peach moth with natural predators (parasitic wasps and flies) and with chemical sprays such as malathion.
