Karl Pearson
Pearson, Karl (1857–1936), English mathematician best known for his pioneering work on statistics (e.g., devising the chi-square test), The Grammar of Science (1892), and his contributions to the philosophy of mathematics. He was also an early worker in the field of eugenics.
