John Penn

Penn, John (1740–88), U.S. Revolutionary leader, delegate from North Carolina to the Continental Congress, signer of the Declaration of Independence. Penn was admitted to the Virginia bar (1762) and practiced law there until he settled in North Carolina (1774).
