Peripatetic philosophy
Peripatetic philosophy, method of teaching philosophy attributed to the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. The word peripatetic is derived from the Greek term for walking. This refers to Aristotle's practice of strolling with his students under the portico of his school in Athens, the Lyceum, as he gave his lectures.
