Phenology

Phenology, science studying the effects of climate on biological phenomenon. Cycles of animal migration or hibernation and of plant flowering are dependent on climate and are therefore studied by phenologists. Among other results, phenology helps farmers correctly time procedures such as planting and harvesting. Phenologists also develop phenological maps that chart global phenological events.
