Prince Philip

Philip, Prince (1921– ), consort of Queen Elizabeth II of England. The son of Prince Andrew of Greece and Princess Alice of Battenberg, he renounced his Greek title, became a British subject, and married Elizabeth in 1947. He was created duke of Edinburgh in 1947 and prince in 1957.
