Gregor Piatigorsky

Piatigorsky, Gregor (1903–76), Russian-born U.S. cellist. He made his debut as a concert cellist in the United States in 1929 and became a U.S. citizen in 1942. Together with the violinist Jascha Heifetz and violist William Primrose, he was esteemed for his performance of chamber music.
