Antonio Del Pollaiuolo



Pollaiuolo, Antonio Del (1429?–98), Italian painter, sculptor, and goldsmith. His knowledge of the human anatomy and his mastery in portraying figures in action inspired Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. He used Hercules as the subject of some of his most famous works; including several paintings and a bronze piece. He created the bronze tombs of Popes Sixtus IV and Innocent VOI in Rome.
