Pop art

Pop art, modern art movement dating from the mid-1950s, based on images of advertising, commercial illustration, and mass-produced objects. Developed in England and the United States, it included the artists Richard Hamilton, David Hockney, Andy Warhol, and Robert Rauschenberg, among others.
