Pupa

Pupa, immature stage in the development of those insects whose larval form is completely different in structure from the adult form and in which complete metamorphosis occurs. The pupa normally is a resting place in which the larval structure is reorganized to form the adult. Everything but the nervous system changes, and feeding and locomotion are suspended.
