Rabbi
Rabbi (Hebrew, “my master” or “my teacher”), leader of a Jewish religious congregation with the role of spiritual leader, scholar, teacher, and interpreter of Jewish law. The term originated in Palestine, meaning merely religious teacher, after the return from exile and destruction of the hereditary priesthood (1st century A.D.).
