Receiver

Receiver, in law, person, bank, or trust company appointed by a court and paid a fee to take charge of a company or a person's assets, most frequently in cases of bankruptcy. The receiver maintains existing assets in good order, since creditors will ultimately have a claim on them and may also carry on the business, collecting money that is due, paying out salaries, and dealing with suppliers.
