Johann Paul Friedrich Richter
Richter, Johann Paul Friedrich (1763–1825), German humorous and sentimental novelist, who wrote as Jean Paul. He achieved popularity with such works as The Invisible Lodge (1793), The Life of Quintus Fixlein (1796), and Titan (1800–3).
