Linda Ronstadt

Ronstadt, Linda (1946– ), U.S. singer. Ronstadt began her musical career with the rock group Stone Poneys (1967). She achieved solo success and starred as Mabel in the Broadway production and film of The Pirates of Penzance and sang the lead in Puccini' s La Bohème in New York (1983). In 1993 she received a Grammy Award for best country singer.
