Rossetti

Rossetti, two leading English artists, brother and sister. The poems of Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830–94) range from fantasy (Goblin Market, 1862) to religious poetry. Her brother, Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828–82), was a founder of the Pre-Raphaelites. His paintings, of languid, mystical beauty, depict subjects from Dante and medieval romance. He excelled as a poet, notably in his love sonnets.
