Manuel Roxas y Acuña
Roxas y Acuña, Manuel (1894–1948), Philippine politician. He was a member of the Japanese-sponsored Philippine puppet government in World War II while aiding the Philippine underground. He became the 1st president (1946–48) of the Republic of the Philippines, leader of an administration marked by corruption.
