Rutabaga

Rutabaga, also called Swedish turnip, plant in the mustard family. Both its leaves and yellow root are used for food. The rutabaga root is harvested late in the autumn, when it is larger and stronger than the white turnip, a similar root vegetable. The leaves are harvested in early summer, before they become spongy and bitter.
