Santos

Santos (pop. 428,500), one of Brazil's major port cities, and the world's leading coffee port. Cotton, sugar, bananas, castor oil, beef, oranges, hides, and manufactured goods are also exported. Its industries include sawmills, canneries, and the manufacture of candy, soap, soft drinks, and canvas. Santos has two airports and a railroad link to São Paulo.
