Dorothy Sayers
Sayers, Dorothy (1893–1957), English writer of detective stories and creator of the popular, impeccably aristocratic and erudite Lord Peter Whimsey. He is the hero of some 16 books, beginning with Whose Body? (1923). Sayers also wrote religious essays and dramas.
