Scabies
Scabies, infectious skin disease caused by a mite (Sarcoptes scabiei) that burrows under the skin, often of the hands or feet; it causes an intensely itchy skin condition that is partly due to allergy to the mite. The disease is spread through contact. Treatment is with ointments.
