Hjalmar Horace Greeley Schacht
Schacht, Hjalmar Horace Greeley (1877–1970), German financier and banker. He helped halt post-World War I inflation in Germany and was finance minister (1934–37) and Reichsbank president (1923–30; 1933–39). Conflict with Goering and Hitler led to imprisonment in a concentration camp. He was acquitted at the Nuremberg Trials (1946).
