Sea cucumber

Sea cucumber, any of a class (Holothuroidea) of sea animal of the echinoderm group, which also contains sea urchins and starfish. The leathery, flexible, cucumber-shaped animals grow up to 3 ft (1 m) in the tropics but are smaller in cooler waters. Tentacles around the mouth of the sea cucumber are used to catch food, and suction disks on the tube feet along the body provide locomotion. The animal can eject internal organs to distract attackers, regenerating these organs later.
