Shang dynasty

Shang dynasty, first historic Chinese dynasty, traditionally said to have lasted from 1766 to 1122 B.C. The legendary founder was T'ang. The Shang civilization was agriculturally and technically advanced and is famed for the artistic quality of its bronzes.
