Shenandoah River

Shenandoah River, river in Virginia and West Virginia, a major tributary of the Potomac. Its North Fork, 117 mi (188 km) long, and South Fork, 155 mi (249 km) long, meet at Riverton, Va., to form the Shenandoah proper, which flows 55 mi (88 km) to the Potomac at Harper's Ferry, W. Va.
