Shore Patrol

Shore Patrol, military police of the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. The Shore Patrol enforces laws involving military personnel while they are ashore. It is made up of trained officers and enlisted personnel empowered to arrest suspected offenders, who are then placed in the custody of their commanding officers. The Shore Patrol has no authority to try or punish those itarrests.
