Silverfish

Silverfish, any of various wingless insects of the order Thysanura. One common variety, Lepisma saccharina, has 2 long antennae, 3 barbed tail parts, and silver-to-gray scales. It is a pest that lives in damp areas of houses, feeding on wallpaper, books, clothes, or food.
