Louis Skidmore
Skidmore, Louis (1897–1962), U.S. architect and cofounder of the firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (1936), which designed such government and corporate projects as Oak Ridge, Tenn. (1943–45), the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs (1954–62), and the Sears Tower in Chicago (1971–73).
