B.F. Skinner
Skinner, B.F. (1904–90), U.S. psychologist and author whose advocacy of behaviorism helped it gain acceptance in 20th-century psychology. His best-known books are Science and Human Behavior (1953); Walden Two (1961), a Utopian novel based on behaviorism; and Beyond Freedom and Dignity (1971).
