Benjamin McLane Spock
Spock, Benjamin McLane (1903–98), known as “Dr. Spock,” U.S. pediatrician and pacifist noted for his best-selling Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care (1946) and Bringing Up Children in a Difficult Time (1974). He ran for president in 1972 as candidate of the People's Party.
