Bruce Springsteen

Springsteen, Bruce (1949– ), U.S. rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist, known as “The Boss.” He has performed with his E Street Band since the early 1970s, recording such albums as Born to Run (1975, Born in the U.S.A. (1984), which sold 15 million copies, Human Touch (1992), and The Ghost of Tom Joad (1995). His lyrics are often topical and idealistic.
