Jean Stafford

Stafford, Jean (1915–79), U.S. author noted for her sensitive, well-crafted novels and short stories. Her Collected Stories (1969) won a Pulitzer Prize. Her novels include Boston Adventure (1944) and The Catherine Wheel (1952).
