Preston Sturges

Sturges, Preston (1898–1959), U.S. playwright, screenwriter, and film director. His films, many of them witty satires of U.S. life and values, include The Great McGinty (1940), Sullivan's Travels (1941), and The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1944).
